Potato Salad

My younger brother is getting married this year, so we had a Stag and Doe a few weeks back.

Once the lights turned on and we kicked everyone out it was time to sober up and help clean up.

Naturally there were coolers full of roast beef and trays full of macaroni and potato salad left over–better to have too much than too little, right? Trucks got filled up with games, leftovers, and stumbling people.

My brother (the one who isn’t getting married) and I decided to have another drink on the patio once we got home. I get this message from my sister around 2 or 3 am.

“Bahaha just you wait potato salad!!!!!”

“Shhhhhhh don’t tell anyone”

I really didn’t understand the context of this message until the next morning.

Turns out, my sister and brother-in-law, Jeff, and Jacyln stopped at my younger brother’s mailbox on the way home. They got the bright idea to shovel some of the leftover potato salad into his mailbox because “nobody likes potato salad”. OH, they also locked his outdoor dog in the house to keep her from getting at it. Brilliant prank–right?

They forgot one small detail…to put up the flag on the mailbox…so he would actually look inside and find the mess!

The next day my mom found out and made my dad go clean it out before my brother ever knew. This just means he’s got it coming to him when he leaves for a week long honeymoon. This should be fun.
